Diane Edwards British, b. 1987

Diane Edwards is an artist from Glasgow, currently based in London.  Using synthetic and organic materials to create sculpture, video, installation and computational works her research led practice draws on themes situated within biosciences, technoscience and life through a new materialist philosophy.  Recent interests include the unpacking of technical objects(rare earths); the human microbiome and more-than-human life; digital/organic ontologies; speculative notions of life after ‘mass extinction’; the future of gene-editing and AI. 
Diane graduated with an MFA Computational Arts at Goldsmiths University of London 2017, and a Ba(Hons) Fine Art at Edinburgh College of Art 2009.
